Who Is In The Jungle This Year?
Caitlyn Jenner
Former Olympic Gold medalist and american TV personality, known for ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’.
Jenner also took part in the US version in 2008 and said “it was a very interesting experience last time I did it. Being in the Jungle is certainly not easy and yes, it is totally back to basics but I thought this would be a great opportunity to leave everything behind for three weeks. Last time, it was almost like a cleansing of the soul!”
Nadine Coyle
Girls Aloud band member, solo artist, singer-songwriter and actress.
Nadine said: “I really hope that by doing this, it pushes me so far out the comfort zone and that I learn to be comfortable, feel relaxed and do the things that I didn’t used to be afraid of. Heights, rats, snakes – everything!”
James Haskell
Former Rugby player for Wasps RFC, England and Northampton Saints.
Haskell said: “I’m going in the Jungle to have a fun time but I’ve always done this lad bravado kind of thing and actually I am really different. The mental side of things can be very tough and I am going in with an open mind. I also think there will be an expectation that I will be good at challenges as maybe I look the part physically but I might be absolutely terrified!”
Ian Wright MBE
Former professional footballer, TV and Radio presenter.
Ian said: “I have been asked to do it every year and every time, I have always thought I am definitely not doing that because there was more and more jeopardy involved. But I think the last series was one of the best I have seen in respect of camaraderie.”
“Harry (Redknapp) and I play golf together and we spoke about it. He had a really great time, it was a fantastic thing for him to do and he is still talking about it to this day! Now it does appeal to me at this particular time. I like the vibe, it is a really cool show and I am really intrigued.”
Roman Kemp
TV and Radio presenter, best known as one of the host’s on the Capital FM Breakfast Show.
Kemp said “I am not scared of the eating trials because I grew up with Dad’s cooking!” he joked. “I think the eating ones I will hate but I will do them. The show is iconic and you want to do everything.”
Andrew Maxwell
Irish stand-up comedian, best known for the voice-over artist on ‘Ex On The Beach’.
Maxwell has vowed to be the one who empties and cleans the camp toilet and he is looking forward to doing stand-up for his fellow camp-mates.
Myles Stephenson
Singer and former X Factor contestent, part of boy band ‘Rak-Su’.
Stephenson said that his family help to get rid of bugs that come into his home. He also said about his family: “I know they will vote to try and make me do the trials,” he said.
Kate Garraway
TV, radio presenter and journalist, known for presenting ‘Good Morning Britain’.
Kate said ”I am excited about doing the show because as you get older, you realise you don’t get many chances for pure adventure in life. I am going to give it a good shot and everyone can have a laugh and I hope it takes their mind off Brexit!”
Jacqueline Jossa
Jacqueline is an English actress, best known for her role on Eastenders as Lauren Branning from 2010 to 2018.
Jossa said: “It’s going to be so difficult going in as me and that’s definitely going to be the hardest part. I have never done a show where I have been myself. And I am also scared of everything – especially spiders! They are the worst, there will be tears!”
Adele Roberts
Adele is an English radio presenter, best known for presenting regularly on BBC Radio 1.
She has said that she has a phobia of snakes, spiders and she also said her early mornings will help with sleep deprivation.
