Jessica Alba Reveals Her Diet, How She Gets Her Kids to Eat Veggies!

Publish date: 2024-08-17

Jessica Alba, no doubt, has one of the most coveted bodies in Hollywood, and while the mom of two works hard for her figure, she indulges every now and then too!

“I’m more comfortable in my own skin than I was before,” Alba told Us Weekly at the second annual Baby2Baby Mother’s Day Play Date with Tiny Prints event in Los Angeles on Wednesday, April 29. “I was much more kind of fussy and nitpicky about imperfections before I had kids and now it’s like, ‘Hey, it is what it is’ and you just kind of have to own it, right?”

The mom to daughters Honor and Haven, who obviously doesn’t skimp on diet and exercise, admits the key is to enjoy a little bit of everything.

“I try to eat fairly healthy as far as like organic and fresh, but I don’t stay away from any foods,” the Honest company co-founder admitted to Us. “I don’t eat a lot of processed foods — maybe that’s kind of the biggest thing — but it’s not like I never eat processed. Like, I love chips, and I love snacks and stuff, I just don’t eat a lot of it.”

Becoming a mom has also altered what Alba finds most important. While she admitted entering her 30s — Alba turned 34 on Tuesday — was “sad,” she now feels “better than ever.”

“I think you just have a different mentality on what really matters, the older you get,” she told Us.

One thing that’s very important in her household, though, is vegetables! “I make them just try it, even if they don’t like it,” Cash Warren’s wife said of getting her daughters to eat their greens at the event hosted by Tiny Prints, an online stationary boutique that has an exclusive line of birth announcements benefiting Baby2Baby. “Honor is like ‘I don’t like mushrooms,’ and I’m like, ‘Well, just have one bite’…I just figure if I keep, once a week or once every other week, have her at least try it again and try it again and try it again, maybe we’ll have a break through moment,” she added, laughing. “But, it’s not an option for them to eat vegetables. It’s like you have to eat vegetables in your meal somehow…or else you’re gonna be in deep trouble!”
