Mad Men Final Season Premiere Date Announced: Details

Draper's days are numbered. It was announced during the 2015 Winter TCA Press Tour on Saturday, Jan. 10, that the final seven episodes of Mad Men will kick off on Sunday, April 5, at 10 p.m. on AMC.

"What an incredible journey this has been. I take great pride in what the entire Mad Men team was able to create episode after episode, season after season," creator Matthew Weiner said in a statement Saturday. "We sincerely thank the fans for joining us on this ride and hope it has meant as much to them as it has to us."

Charlie Collier, AMC President, added: "Mad Men is the show that put AMC on the map. Period. It is impossible to overstate the impact it has had on AMC, and I would argue, this era of television."

Since its 2007 debut, Mad Men has won four Emmys for Outstanding Drama Series. Thanks to its complex characters like Don Draper (Jon Hamm) and Peggy Olson (Elisabeth Moss), its also taken home awards from the Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild, and the American Film Institute.
