MC Hammer Involved in 800K Dispute with Uncle Sam

Poor MC Hammer. The dude just can’t catch a break. But there is something I am confused about here. Rumor is that MC Hammer is the guy who blew through the most money when it comes to celebs wasting their fortunes. People make jokes that he has to eat beans out of a can for dinner now and stuff, so I am wondering. If he is broke, how can this story be true? What story, you ask? Read on to find out.

So as of right now, it is said that MC Hammer owes eight hundred thousand dollars to the I.R.S in back taxes. If you do the math that he owes 30 percent of what he makes, this is implying he must make 3.2 million. So  either one of the two things is false. Either he never went broke and that was all just for the sake of the media, or he owes that money, which seems to imply he is doing a bit better than most in the money making department.  Truth is, this is all stemming from 1996 and 1997, which makes way more sense.

MC Hammer claims that the money is all taken care of and that is an old issue. The I.R.S claims it is still an issue and needs to be worked out stat. People say Hammer is doing everything he can to avoid getting in any serious trouble here, but insists he has taken care of it. Listen, I am no specialist. But I do think that what the I.R.S says, goes. So Hammer better be careful.
