Playboy model didnt kill her sugar daddy psychiatrist, boyfriend says in jailhouse intervie
The boyfriend of a former Las Vegas Playboy model accused in the murder of a psychiatrist has spoken out, claiming he and his girlfriend are innocent in the killing of Kelsey Turner’s alleged “sugar daddy.”
The Daily Mail reported that Logan Kennison sat down for a jailhouse interview with Access Hollywood two years after his and Turner’s arrest on murder charges in the death of 71-year-old psychiatrist Thomas Burchard at Turner’s Las Vegas home.
Kennison and Turner are accused of beating Burchard to death with a baseball bat before stuffing his body into the trunk of the woman’s abandoned Mercedes on a desert road in rural Nevada.
“We’re not monsters, we didn’t do it,” Kennison told Access.
The boyfriend of former Playboy model Kelsey Turner who has been charged with bludgeoning to death her elderly benefactor has denied their involvement in the murder and insisted that the victim was not his girlfriend’s ‘sugar daddy.’

Kennison also denied claims that the alleged Las Vegas murder victim was the Playboy model’s “sugar daddy,” though he acknowledged Burchard had been paying for Turner’s apartment, car, and bills.
“I think he was just a really good friend. He had a good heart,” Kennison said.

Judy Earp, Burchard’s fiancée and his life partner, said the psychiatrist had paid Turner the sum of $300,000 over the years and had traveled to Nevada to tell her he was cutting her off financially in March 2019.
He was found dead on March 7. Turner is not set to be tried until July 12 of this year, KTNV previously reported.
Police say 71-year-old Thomas Burchard was killed at a home here in the valley. His body was eventually found in the trunk of an abandoned vehicle near Lake Mead last year.

Kennison also directly denied involvement in the Vegas Playboy model murder plot, saying “I would never hurt him. I would never harm him. I never did anything to him. When I left, he was perfectly fine.”
Kennison also attempted to suggest Diana Pena, a housemate who has also been charged in the crime, was actually responsible for Burchard’s slaying, telling Access “Diana had something to do with it.”
Unliked Turner and Kennison who have both pleaded not guilty, Pena has pleaded guilty to accessory charges and is expected to testify against the couple.
CBS affiliate KLAS reported Kennison and Turner are expected to stand trial together.
The abandoned car in which Burchard was found belonged to Turner who had never reported it missing.
Trial date set for Las Vegas murder suspects in California doctor’s death
According to a feature profile on the case in Elle published in 2019, Pena was living in the Playboy model’s home as a part-time nanny for Turner’s son the night the Las Vegas murder allegedly took place.
Pena testified to a grand jury that Kennison struck Burchard with a bat following an argument, badly bruising him. He asked someone to take him to a hospital and waited in the back of Turner’s car in the home’s garage with Pena, who left the room after Turner told her to go clean up around the house.
Pena testified she later heard Turner yelling for Kennison to “knock Thomas out” and that when she returned to the garage “it was too late.”
Turner’s attorney told Elle in response that it would have been impossible for the relatively petite Turner to have beaten Burchard to death and lift his body into a car, also calling Pena a “snitch” who had a lot to gain by “telling the police what they wanted to hear.”
“Don’t believe all the hype,” Smith said. “There’s a salacious aspect to all this, which has generated a lot of interest. Everybody loves these true crime stories that have a sexual component to them.” (Pena’s and Kennison’s lawyers did not comment for this story.)
